Nov 16th, 2009 Log

Food Log

Breakfast: 10:10am, 10 mins after waking up

Sleep Log

I was a little worried about this morning, since I had been off work for four days. That meant that I hadn’t been getting up at a consistent time in the morning. I did get to bed around 3am and only hit the snooze button twice, so that wasn’t too bad.

Hometown Buffet wouldn’t have been my first choice for today. But since it was for my mom’s birthday, it was where I ended up. I tried to be reasonable with portion sizes, but it was still a lot of food. On a positive note, the last two days on the elliptical machine have felt really good.

Sleep Log

Since I slept so late yesterday, I wasn’t exactly in a rush to get to bed last night. I’m sure the late exercise didn’t exactly help either. I managed to get to bed around 3:30am. I got up after only hitting the snooze button twice, which I didn’t think was too bad.

Sleep Log

I got lots of sleep here, which was somewhat surprising. I was in bed by 1:30am, and feel asleep right away. However, I then slept until almost 1pm. I did feel really good when I got up, which isn’t always true after getting that much sleep.

I had a really busy day at work today, as I prepared to take the next two days off. There was lots of stuff to finish up, but it is nice to know that I shouldn’t be getting any calls from work while I am out. Even with everything that was going on, I felt like a did a decent job eating. I need to try and expand the breakfast and first snack choices, but it is working so far.

I went to bed at 2:40am last night, but didn’t fall asleep right away. It was probably a little after 3am before that happened. I was really tired when the alarm went off this morning, but screwed up the snooze button. That meant I got up a little after 10am, which is about a half-hour later than what I had hoped.

I felt pretty good this morning. I did hit the snooze button once, but then I really just laid in bed waiting for the alarm to go back off. Most mornings I crash hard, so I’ll see that as a decent sign. I went to bed around 2:45am, and I think I fell asleep pretty quickly.

Up and down day today, though mainly up. I felt pretty good this morning, but then started to get a headache and a stiff neck by late afternoon. I did some stretching, which helped a bit, and then headed out to the Kludy’s place to workout on the bowflex. The headache and neck pain went away, but my back feels a little tight now.

My cat actually woke me up this morning. Since I felt pretty decent, I decided to stay up even though I had another 20 minutes or so before the alarm would go off. I did manage to get to bed just before 3am and fell asleep pretty quickly.

Bowflex: 8:15pm
It had been a while since I had hit the Bowflex, so I didn’t push myself too hard. I did bench press, rows, military press, lat pull down, biceps, triceps, abs, and obliques. Even though I took it somewhat easy on the bench and military press, I was completely wiped out on the triceps kickback. My back is still a little tight, so I might end up going back to the chiropractor again this week.

It felt good to finally get on the elliptical machine. The weather was nice enough that I thought about getting on the bike, but the elliptical is fine.

Not the greatest night of sleep, which results in a very difficult time getting up. I went to bed a little after 3am, but it was probably after 4am before I actually fell asleep. I did manage to get up before noon, but was really dragging for a while.
