Dec 2nd, 2009 Log

I had a meeting with my doctor today. Mainly just reviewing the logs, but some discussion of the sleep issues the last couple of days. I am hoping it is just a couple of crazy days, but it will be something to look at during the next visit in a couple of weeks.

There were a few specific recommendations, aside from the obvious of not going to McDonalds and Wendy’s. First, while the veggie burgers are a good option, the suggestion was to only have one of them on bread and the other without bread. Second, there was the suggestion to look at the Kashi brand bars to possibly replace the Clif Bars and Fiber One bars. They should still be able to hit my sweet craving, but have about a 100 fewer calories apiece. Third, there is a pattern of a small sweet snack leading to continuous snacking. So that will also be something to keep an eye on for the next couple of weeks as well.

Food Log

Breakfast: 9:30am, 5 mins after waking up
Chocolate Chip Clif bar, 12 oz. Diet Citrus Drop

Water: 10:30am, 16 oz.

Lunch: 1:30pm, 4:00 after Breakfast
2 Morningstar Farms Spicy Bean Burgers on wheat bread, 12 oz. Diet Lemon Lime

Snack: 4:00pm, 2:30 after Lunch
apple, 16 oz. water

Dinner: 8:00pm, 4:00 after Snack
Fazoli’s Penne Pasta w/meat sauce, 2 bread sticks, 12 oz. Diet Lemon Lime

Snack: 1:00am, 5:00 after Dinner
Kashi TLC Chewy Trail Mix Granola bar, 16 oz. water

Sleep Log

I had a really hard time falling asleep last night. I was in bed by 3am, but it was past 4:30a before I actually fell asleep. I had to get up an hour earlier to get to my doctor’s appointment as well. That meant that I was dragging until after I ate lunch.
