Dec 9th-15th, 2009 Log

I have been lacking in the motivation department for the last week or so. On Wednesday, the 9th, my hip started hurting. It didn’t seem that bad originally, but the nagging pain hasn’t gone away. As a result, I haven’t gotten on the elliptical machine at all lately. Since I didn’t do the daily log, here is my attempt to catch up. This is obviously just the highlights.

Wednesday, Dec 9th

This wasn’t a bad eating day. I did the almond butter sandwich for breakfast, and had a couple of Banquet pasta microwave meals for lunch. Two of those meals was about the same my normal lunch calories wise. However, I’m sure they blew the sodium amount out of the water. For dinner, I had a spicy chicken breast, baked potato, and green beans.

Thursday, Dec 10th

This was back to the waffles for breakfast. For lunch I met Big Dog at a Greek place, which meant a gyro and fries. I had a couple of turkey sandwiches for dinner. This was the closest to any exercise that I got, as I was downtown during the evening. I got to walk from the City Center parking lot over to the Palace Theater, and back, in the freezing wind.

Friday, Dec 11th

And now the crappy eating weekend starts. Once again I had waffles for breakfast, and then a couple of veggie burgers for lunch. For dinner, I decided to order Papa Johns and ate half a large pizza. Not a whole lot really needs to be said there.

Saturday, Dec 12th

I was still doing the waffles for breakfast and lunch was the rest of the Papa Johns pizza. For dinner, I was at a catered birthday party. I had a slice of ham, some mashed potatoes, some ice cold broccoli, and some chocolate covered strawberries. I would have had more, but they packed everything up. Since I was still hungry, I stopped at Wendy’s and got a couple of Double Stacks on the drive home.

Sunday, Dec 13th

I decided to skip the waffles and did the almond butter sandwich instead. I had a couple of veggie burgers on wheat bread for lunch. For dinner, I ran out to Subway for a 6 inch Sweet Onion Chicken Teriyaki and chips.

Monday, Dec 14th

It was back to waffles for breakfast again. For lunch, I had 2 Morningstar Farms Original Grillers. I doubled them up, so I only had the two slices of bread. For dinner, I ran out for Chicken w/Broccoli at the local Chinese restaurant.

Tuesday, Dec 15th

Since I was out of syrup, I had the almond butter sandwich for breakfast. I met my dad for lunch at Smokey Bones. I got the Smokehouse Chicken sandwich and fries. For dinner, I had the Wendy’s Southwest Taco salad.

Other Notes

1. I didn’t type it each day, but the snacks were either the Kashi bars or the Fiber One bars. Even though I have yogurt and apples in the fridge, they stayed there the entire time.

2. It seemed like I had a hard time consistently drinking water. Since I didn’t keep track each day, it is hard to say for sure. This also might have been impacted by the lack of exercise.

3. In general, I slept pretty well. I got up a 9:30 each work day, and 10:30 both Saturday and Sunday. I was tired on a couple of those mornings, but I was in bed no later than 3am on any night and much earlier a few of them.
