Nov 7th, 2009 Log

Not a whole lot that I feel like talking about today. I probably should have split the lasanga into a second serving, and the trip to McDonald’s was out of pure boredom.

Breakfast: 11:45am, 5 mins after waking up

Sleep Log

Not the greatest night of sleep, which results in a very difficult time getting up. I went to bed a little after 3am, but it was probably after 4am before I actually fell asleep. I did manage to get up before noon, but was really dragging for a while.

Still need to get back at, but it hasn’t happened yet.

Nov 6th, 2009 Log

The day was definitely influenced by going to the Dame’s for the evening. Even though there was a lot of snacking, I didn’t feel like I did too bad at all.

Sleep Log

Not a lot of trouble sleeping last night, but I did have trouble actually getting to bed. It was almost 3:30am by the time I went to bed. That, in turn, made it difficult to get up this morning and I hit the snooze about 5 or 6 times.

Sleep Log

I was very tired when I got up this morning. That might have been impacted by the trip to the chiropractor, where I essentially laid around for the first 40 minutes or so there. I didn’t have any trouble falling asleep, but I was up a little past 3am. Only hit the snooze once to get up a bit before 10am.

Exercise Log

I actually took today off as well. My back didn’t feel tight after going to the chiropractor, but did feel a little tender. That isn’t that unusual though.

Nov 4th, 2009 Log

Not a whole lot to report today. I was kind of tired right after I got off work, but not enough to want to take a nap.

Slept much better last night. I stayed up until almost 3am, but feel asleep pretty quickly after I did go to bed. I only hit the snooze button once this morning, getting up just before 10am. I can live with that.

Nov 3rd, 2009 Log

Really, really, really need to get back at this. As great as I felt in September, I felt almost as bad in October. Nothing really major, just a combination of little things that really added up. Mostly, I say it was the crappy weather that did the most damage. The rain and cold meant that the bike riding came to an end. I never caught a cold, but it was a close thing at the beginning of the month. Spending time on an airplane to Denver probably didn’t help that any at all. There was also some changes in medication, which my body didn’t seem to like at all.

Those little things completely got me out of the habits that I was trying to build in September. I’m not completely back to square one, as I am still down 9.5 pounds from Sep 1st. Of course, that means I am up 4 pounds from where I was on Sep 24. Considering how little I exercised, how poorly I ate, and how crappy I felt, only 4 pounds felt like a minor victory when I got on the scale.

In the words of Henry V, “Once more unto the breach, dear friends, once more”.

Sleep Log

I had a very hard time getting to sleep last night. Even with DST over the weekend, I have struggled to get to bed at a decent time. Part of the reason last night, as I was doing a lot of planning for today. I took the day off from work and had several errands to run. My mind was racing, trying to add new things to the to-do list. Predictably, this led to being tired this morning and dragging big time. I was fine once I got out of the house, but getting started was a struggle.

I took the day off. I will probably take tomorrow off as well, and then try to get back into it on Thursday after my chiropractor appointment.

Sep 24

The plan currently is to get on the scale every Monday and Thursday. I like weighing myself on Mondays, because that is a good reality check of the weekend. Thursdays seems like a good day to jump on the scale again to check mid-week progress. Today the scale said 253, which is another couple of pounds. I’m feeling pretty good about continuing to make progress even with all the social events I have been to over the month.

I didn’t actually go to bed until around 2:45am, which was probably fine. The way I felt, I don’t think I would have fallen asleep very quickly anyway. I had a chiropractor appointment this morning, so I got up a bit before 10am.

Sleep Log

I once again had trouble falling asleep. My body just really wasn’t tired at 2am, and it was well after 3am before I was out. Then the phone rang at 8:30am this morning. Normally I would have ignored it and just gone back to sleep. However since I was watching my nephew today, I got up to see if it was my sister or brother-in-law calling about that. It wasn’t, but I couldn’t fall back asleep. Then I was tired and dragged most of the day.

Day 21, WOOO!

The 21 days are officially over, and I will say that I am feeling pretty good. The last day called for taking new measurements, but I had already done that on day eighteen. I did jump on the scale though, and finished the 21 days at 255.

I do plan to continue posting these, and I’d just like to say thank you to everyone that offered comments, suggestions, and encouragement.

Lots of tossing and turning last night. I just wasn’t really tired, but I didn’t want to get out of bed. I was in bed by 2am, but it was pretty close to 3am (at least), before I fell asleep. I didn’t get up around 9:30am this morning without hitting the snooze button.

Day 20

Today the program called for cooking a Fat Loss Plate for a friend. I didn’t do that, but that was mainly because I didn’t really think about the program at all. I have pretty much moved into the next phase, of just watching what I eat and continue this journal.

No real issues with sleeping last night. I tossed and turned a bit, but I feel asleep not too long after I went to bed at 2:20am. Also, no problems with the alarm this morning, getting up around 10:30am.

* I know you can’t really go off the calorie number on the machine, but I am going to try and track it as an indicator of how hard I worked. I would think I can compare the number from one workout to the next on the same machine.

Today the program was about reading labels. I will say that is something I do need to start doing a better job of, so I’ll take a closer look at the information over the next few days.
